I deserve an award or something...

First off,   when is someone going to knock on my door with the Mother of the Year award?!?!   Don't y'all know that I made dinner last night, woke up and started the crock pot for dinner tonight, successfully showered with baby in the bouncer while The Mr. was out showing houses, put on make-up with one hand while I fed little girl, (if you're not clapping out loud for me......you're nuts!) and meal planned for the next week.      How crazy is it that I feel like I should get a trophy for these things?!?!  :)
I'm not the only one getting the hang of things....
our sweet pea, Hatilynn Paige (yes, sounds like Madelyn with a "H"), is 1 month old today!   It has been a blur...I try to savor each moment...but here we are one month in and yet I feel like we just got home from the hospital yesterday.

Hattie Paige, you should get the baby of the year award for:
-sleeping in 4 hour increments at night.  Praise the Lord!
-you took a bottle from daddy last night for the first time and let mommy sleep for almost 6 hours straight.  Glorious.
-knock on wood.  You only "yelp" when you are hungry...still haven't heard a blood curling cry...or for that matter a regular cry.
-you smile All. The. Time.   When we talk to you...you grin ear to ear.  You giggle out loud while you sleep.
- you're an awesome eater...   Started off at 5lbs 7oz and you're about 6 1/2 lbs now.
Plus,  you're as sweet as sugar...
Hatilynn,  We are so grateful the Lord perfectly picked you for us.  We can't imagine life without you.  We have made so many decisions in the past year with you in mind...   thank you for showing us what life is truly about.  Prayer makes all things possible.

Insta---love

Before we get to the good stuff....   I'm moving from Google Reader to Bloglovin (like everyone else) before the deadline this summer!  SO.............  click on the Bloglovin follow button on the right side of my blog.  I did make my blog private and will probably go back to private once the "bloglovin" switch is made.
Enough of that...

No one can prepare you for the first few days and weeks with a newborn.   It's wonderful, exhausting, emotional, precious, and gives new purpose to life.  There have been times I couldn't tell you the time of day...or even the day!!  24hours goes by so quickly....  It's 11:00pm before I know it and time for bed. (I usually get 4 or 5 hours of sleep during that time...glorious!)  We are 3 weeks in and learning our new normal.  I am so blessed to have a hubs that works from home and when he does need to leave...he can make it at flexible times.  The Mr. has been so hands-on....  he does it all (except feed).  I can't imagine starting this chapter without his support.  It makes our adventure more exciting and less stressful.

I still haven't found my good camera..(it could quite possibly still be packed in our hospital bags!  ha!) so I'll share our last few weeks with pictures from my phone.  I don't want to forget a single day!!   **Warning- overload of pictures.**
The first smile we caught on our camera.  She loves for her back to be tickled!
When I look at this picture it really shows her jaundice.     She's so stink'n cute though.  I love her "eyebrows up" face!
Week 1 we went on our first walk.  She wasn't a fan of her car seat yet.
We decided to put a t.v. in the closet of her nursery for us to watch dvr shows late at night.  This is our first family photo at home (i think)... while the hubby figures out how to wire the cable  cords!
 Holding his napping princess.
These two are twins!  They look so much alike...I love it!
Her first flower bath!  She loves the warm water!
 Her weight:  1.  5lbs 7oz  2.  5lbs 4oz  3.  5lbs 11oz  4.  6lbs 3oz
All wrapped up like a burrito.
She looks so tiny in her daddy's hands.
All smiles.
Loves when daddy chats with her....  she just listens and smiles.
She wore this Easter outfit on our walk to the duck pond by our house.  Little did we know that later on that night she would have a huge blowout that would result in this outfit get cut off of her body.  It was destroyed.  :)  It was like a sitcom in our house!!
We made it to the duck pond.
Loving that my family looks like this now!!  Perfection.
 My favorite Instagram picture!
We were given two seperate photography packages as gifts.  We attempted to take newborn and family pictures with the first photographer.  I say attempted because we barely got any pictures taken after 2 hours of trying ....our sweet little one had never actually cried...until ...that night.  She used her lungs with all her might.  It actually scared us since we hadn't ever heard anything more than a sigh come out of her mouth.  Yes,  I'm sure your shaking your head at how naive these new parents are...bahaha...  never heard a cry.   We did get to see a sneak peek and we did get a few amazing family pictures that I'll post soon.  The next day...I was so nervous that our little sweetie would do the same thing...but.....she was amazing with the 2nd photographer and she posed like a pro!  Girls,  lemme tell ya--- these pictures will melt your heart.   I'm dying to post the results from both days!

I just sit and stare at my sweet girl each day wondering how my Lord sees me worthy enough to raise and love this precious gift.  I'm so grateful for our perfectly picked sweet pea.
