August 2014

Yea...It's August and ful of lots of smiles!   One of sweet pea's new favorite games is "bury me with stuffed animals".  She loves when all their faces look at her and she will kiss each one of them.  My little lover.
Our itty bitty started laying on her tummy like a big girl to play with her toys.  Yep, we cried.
I personally think me and my lil buddy look like little twinsies!
I took H to the library to beat the heat and get out of the house.  She was being a ham!
Luke came over for a playdate...lots of fun.
We got our first Little People play set.  Wow...Hatilynn was in love!
Boogie and H have become buds.  On this day she was grabbing his tail and ticking her face....oh, the belly laughs were hilarious.
We even had dinner with the Gaffneys.  Being a Gaffney grandkid is super special.
We swore we would never do it but we did.  We took H to play in the bacteria trap in the mall.  She liked the horse but that was about it!
I know not many mommas say this but I love (most of the time) running errands with my girl.  She is usually so good and I feel like she is constantly learning and watching.  It's a special time.
During one of our errands we pretended this display was a ball pit.  Pretty sure you aren't supposed to put your kiddos in here!
Some days we head to Mardel to play in the kids area.  I always leave with a bag full of cheap goodies too!
Crazy story.  We just got a new Denali and I was out running errands while Ty had a closing.  I decided to take H to the library for some playtime and as we were driving I see Tyler driving in the lane next to me with his head out the window...  we just happened to be right next to eachother on the road...so we crashed his lunch with his dad.  It was a pleasant surprise.
We even had a night out with friends...  oh, that dinner was so yummy!
At the end of the month we had a playdate with my MOPS table group.   So much fun... these ladies are great!
I left out a huge part of our August.... We went on VACATION!  Our first vacay as a family of 3.  It was amazing and deserves it's own post...  but here's a sneak peek!!

July 2014

My sweet baby girl got to enjoy the 4th of July.  Well, kind of....she goes to bed so early that she doesn't even know what night time looks like....much less fireworks!  But we spent the day at G's house eating lobster and watching the kiddos play on the slip'n'slide. Then the three of us went to our city's Freedom Fest.  We listened to music, ate some food...and were basically just doing everything we could to keep cool.  We were all a hot sweaty mess.  But, it was so much fun and that's what making memories is all about!
Oh, how a year can change everything.   Our squishy last year...and my sweet big girl this year.
We visited with Miss Sue every other week.   The Lord knew exactly what He was doing when he put her in our lives.  She is so positive, loving, supportive, adventurous, caring, and motherly/grandmotherly to the three of us.  She's selfless.
On a different note:   we started the oh so fun swim lessons.   HaHa.  It really was fun... but my cautious timid little one doesn't like to feel unsafe...ever.    So, when it came time to "dunk" my bebe.... (for an entire tenth of a second) she flipped out.  She just gave me the stink eye every time she thought I was going to put her under the water.  And does this girl have a stink eye....  woah.
But, playing on the side of our pool causes no need for raised eyebrows...go figure.
One morning the weather was a little cooler so we headed to the park.  It was sweet pea's first time to explore on her own....well,  she never went too far from us but she walked around a little.
Each morning we walk down our street...sometimes we go a few times...  because it's so early and cool outside it's the only time of day that isn't scorching!  Hatilynn's favorite house is the house with a kitty.  She points and meows for probably 5 minutes before we tell her to keep walking home so she can finish her breakfast.   It is the sweetest.  She has such a love for animals.... especially kitty cats.  I wonder where she gets it?!?!
We go out to eat a few times every week...  while walking into one of our regular spots I turned around and swore I saw a little celebrity.  I can just imagine her saying... no pictures please!!
There were a few shopping trips with Nan.  We found the cutest hats and sunglasses for our vacation..and if H looks precious in something,,Nan is going to buy it!!!
But, since most days in July were so hot we had lots of days around the house.  Reading.
 Watching Frozen.
Playing in tents.
 Playing with daddy.
We saw our friends at Top Golf...   Friends that have babies makes events so much fun!!
I had to put this in here...  we need to work on our table manners I guess.
T had a daddy/daughter date day while I met my girlfriends for brunch.  She kept sending me all the fun adventures he was taking H on and I was getting so jealous!!   These two had the best time...  by the time I got home they were both napping!
At the end of the month we got to celebrate Ty's bday.  This guy is a phenomenal hubby...he is such an encourager...I'm not sure if he ever feels down and out.  He can make any situation fun and exciting.  But most of all he is the most devoted and dedicated daddy.  I honestly didn't know dads were like this...I dreamed they were but didn't realize how important it would be to a little one when their daddy is always there.  Thanks to his random working schedule...it's usually the three of us together every day.  Hatilynn is so loved.
We went to a new place to eat for Tyler's bday dinner.   Oh dear, we needed that night out together!
In the end,  we try to be the best we can be for this sweet pea.  It's an amazing thing how such a tiny little girl can rock our hearts and light a fire inside your soul.
