Coming Soon......

Baby H is expected to be here at the end of March 2013.
We can't keep it to ourselves any longer!

Rewind all the way back to July....   July 19th to be exact!  I woke up really early and took a test, mumbled a lil prayer, and waited.  I seriously thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.  Could that be TWO lines?   When in doubt...pull out the digital!  After the longest 2 minutes of my life...  "PREGNANT" popped up on the screen!  What a blessing!
I wasn't feeling well the night before and I was having trouble sleeping so I asked my sweet hubs to sleep upstairs.  Since he was upstairs I had the perfect opportunity to pull out all the goodies I had stored in the back of the closet just for this special moment.
Several months earlier, I saw the perfect sign, "Prayer makes all things possible".  We have personally seen the power of prayer in our lives over the past few years and with this new chapter we hoped prayed for this sweet baby long before the (+) sign ever showed up on that test.  Over the past year or so, I've read every pregnancy book published.  While searching for a new read over the summer, I found two books geared towards the "new dad".  The Mr. isn't much of a reader....  but he does like to be prepared and if I suggest a book for him to read, he'll usually turn a few pages to make me smile.  The two books I chose to buy and save for "the day" seemed to be fairly short and pretty humorous.  Finally, I made a little onsie with a bejeweled "H" on the front to represent our last name.  Oh-so-sweet!

I grabbed the digital test and attached it to the back of the sign, hid the two books and baby "H" onsie by the front door and found our video camera.  I snuck out the front door and placed the sign in the yard and hid the video camera in some bushes by our sidewalk and then tried to compose myself enough to wake up my honey without him suspecting anything.  I went upstairs and told him something was weird outside and he needed to go check it out.  He jumped up, threw on his some clothes and jetted down the stairs with a worried look on his face. (sidenote: some neighborhood kids egged houses on our street a few nights earlier so he was ready to rumble with those hoodlums!!)  The actual video camera was foggy,  so I'm thankful I also had my phone recording as well.

So, that week we started our weekly belly shots.  The first few months are just pictures of me with no baby bump.  Although,  I did notice that when I took the pictures in the afternoon or evening that I was always bloated a.k.a who cares...at least I was looking pregnant!!  I'll save those picts for snother day and share week 8 and on....

More updates, picts, and videos to come!  We just took our 16 week bump pict a few days ago!!

I figured family and some friends might want the nitty gritty on our baby journey so.....    I'll start sharing all the details here!!
