I have tons of updates so sit back and relax for the longest post in history!
We've been-----
Eating food...well, not food exactly but lots and lots of oatmeal and puree's made by yours truly. So far we have tried sweet potatoes, avocado, carrots, pears, frozen bananas, and tonight our sweet pea tried green beans. Let me tell you...she liked the green beans and bananas the best....as for everything else---- the jury is out.
We also have had a few meals with friends/family:
We went to Grapefest for some fun....oh my word, the heat crept up on us and we had to leave after a few hours. That's okay because the state fair is right around the corner! We did eat/drink a corn dog, hot dog, fresh lemonade and chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick. In my book, that's a success! H got a snow cone ---hold the flavor. It was the cutest thing ever to watch her suck on the shaved ice! One morning we met G at a car show type of thingy (in a girly girl voice of course) and watched him show off his blue oldie! We loved hanging out with G!
Sweet pea has picked up a few new tricks...
she loves sticking out her tongue
she wants to eat everythingyou arch your back all of the time and try to flip upside down
she is sitting up all by herself.... she looks like a big girl
The Mr. insisted on buying a pink swing and setting it up asap.... we use it every night as part of our evening routine! And then there was the LIFE CHANGER...oh how I love you Merlin's Magic Sleep Suit. We were in survival mode for a little while (four month wakeful anyone) and H slept in her swing, our bed, the rock'n'play...... it was exhausting. Then the sleep suit arrived and you have been sleeping from 6-7 most nights only waking up once around 4. Plus, I love the fact that you look like Randy off of A Christmas Story...teehee!
All this good sleeping has left us clear minded.... it only took almost 6 months...but we feel normal..ish.
If this isn't the most precious soul on the planet....
just something so innocent about a sleeping baby.
Probably the most exciting change around here is that we started MDO. First, we had meet the teacher and that's where we knew the Lord had hand picked us to be at this school. The teachers are in looove with H. Only 3 babies in her class with 3 of the most precious teachers...eventually there will be 6 babies by May. Day one was really tough for me...I couldn't fight the tears, so grateful for my husby for holding my hand praying for our girl anytime I started to feel anxious.
I don't have any pictures but while our little one was away we have had some fun. We've gone to brunch, cleaned out our kitchen cabinets, bought a camera, and most importantly taken looong naps. I also started my Moms group with my church and I'm so excited to get the Fall season started with filling my spirit with other ladies going through the same cheers and tears. I think I finally felt like a typical SAHM when I dropped H off at school, went to church, grocery shopped, and sat on the couch alone watching the clock waiting to go pick up my sweetie pie.... this is truly the most wonderful time in my life to date. I told my hubby when we go married that my dream was to stay at home with our kiddos once we had them.... so the other day he asked me what the next dream I envisioned would be...and to be honest, I never got passed college, teaching career, married, baby, stay at home mommy. (maybe to hasn't gone that smooth but I'm here!) So, whatever happens from this point on is just icing on the cake. Our sweet honey bunny turned 6 months old.... we will visit the dr later this week and find out all of her stats. I am in such awe of her sweet personality. She is a giggle box. I'll be back with a family update soon.....
