Celebrating summer birthdays

Celebrating birthdays = lots of love + lots of food        and you know that's two of our most favorite past times!!!!
Birthday #1:  My dad
We snacked before we went to church that evening.
Then we ate at our favorite restaurant and came home to FOUR mini cakes to taste test!!!
I am so thankful for the time we are getting to spend together!

Birthday #2: Beckle
We spent the evening with these two lovely ladies!!!!  Nanny and Beckle
My tummy started growling after I looked at these pictures!!!!  Tyler's dad sloooooow cooked a brisket for this celebration.....  oh man....so juicy and delicious.
Oh...get....ready.  Beckle baked a homemade peach cobbler.  (See it in the top left corner...oh ...it's calling my name!!!)
Can you think of anything better than peach cobbler?!?!  Well,  I can think of only a handful.... but these little sweeties top my list.
Summer birthdays are so much fun.  They usually involve: BBQ, a patio, cold drinks, late night chats, and yummy desserts.  Just perfect!!!!
Summer time is also special because I get to spend extra time with The Mr. at one of my most favorite places in the whole world.  Our Home.  I love my guy.
I'm sure you guessed another "summer favorite" of mine....my Ollie boo.   Well, actually, I love sleeping in...and waking up to a cuddling Ollie.  He is so loving in the morning. (late morning)  He will jump on the bed and crawl on my face...like he hasn't seen me in weeks and puuuuurrrrrr away.
He's still just a baby.....and yes...he's 11 pounds.   Our vet said we should expect him to be between 22-25 pounds when he's fully grown.  SAY WHAT??!??!?  I'm sure those morning snuggles could become rather dangerous when he's that big!!!!!
I also want to say Thank You for the continued prayers.  I received so many messages of encouragement.  Without saying too much for right now... please continue to pray for comfort.  We will have a road ahead of us....  but we know that God strengthens us with every obstacle.
