I have several posts on Fall fun I'm still working on but I wanted to make sure I publish this one... it is full of winter fun! We took our sweet pea to visit Santa! You know, Santa....I KNOW HIM! Every year The Mr. and I go to the Galleria and spend the day shopping, eating, and looking at lights. This year was a little different but super special!
We waiting in line for about 20 minutes...I'm so thankful because I've heard about some other families that waited until the weekend and the lines were a few hours looong. Eek! We sat Hatilynn on Santa's lap and she gave him a good stare......
Seriously, is that not the most precious picture ever?!?! Well, then she was OVER IT! The cry-face soon followed! I hate to admit it but I just love cry-face Santa pictures and I was a teensy bit giggly.
She was like "MOM, get me aways from this man!"
After the visit with Santa we got a few slices of pizza and let little miss have some of her snacks. She was all smiles! Tyler and I kept looking each other and saying how proud we were of our sweet girl!
And then it was time! The very first year T and I started dating we went to Galleria (bc he lived right across the street) and we took a picture in front of the big red tree. So far, we have 6 pictures and this year makes the lucky number 7! It is so fun to look back at how we have grown together and talk about how our lives have changed each year.
Some other stuff we have done this holiday season-
Of course Hatilynn has been festive when she goes to school. It's such a great feeling knowing that she is getting so much love from her teachers. They are so special to our family.
We put up the Christmas tree and the first day Hattie saw it..she was in awe. But, now..I don't even think she notices it! Ha!She usually smiles when she hears the camera click! Love it!
We have also been dealing with an ugly cold and ear infection..which has led to RSV. Her poor throat is so crackly. It is so tough seeing your little one not feel well. I kept her in bed with me when she had a fever for a few nights but praise the Lord she is almost 100%.
Al least she is the cutest baby I know at the doctors office!
One of Hattie's favorite Christmas decorations is this little Frosty and he does a song and dance if you put his hat on top of his head. She just giggles and smiles ear to ear when we turn it on!
Some of her favorite things right now-
*this girls loves the song Royals by Lorde...she will seriously stop crying if it comes on.
*If I say "Eskimo" she will hold her nose to mine and we will Eskimo kiss.
*She can high five and will stop everything if she hears us say it and she will start to look for our hand!
*If we say "praise the Lord" she will cup her hands and bow her head to mine.
*She thinks it's so funny if we count to three really slow.
*She loves to play peek-a-boo.
*She can stand unassisted for a short period of time....she has always preferred standing over sitting or being on her tummy.
*She will roll across the room to get toys.
*She sleeps on her back with her legs bent...and she will twist her head in the craziest positions..it's so cute.
*She loves Elmo's world and Sesame Street and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.....mostly just the songs. She's never watched more than 10 minutes max!
*She loves to stand up during bath time, holding a rubber ducky, and likes water to be squeezed over her!
*She claps!
*She has just learned how to turn on and off the light switch when we hold her close to it.
*She will hold toys to our mouth when we ask her if we can have it.
*And....her two bottom teeth are poking through!
We had an ice storm that literally shut down the city for several days... thank goodness we have every toy ever made! We also had some fun keeping baby warm with all her winter gear!
I had to add this last picture because it shows how attentive Hatilynn's slave I mean daddy has been while she has been sick. He feeds her everything by hand...even holds the straw to her mouth to get water. I swear, this little baby would make the tiniest peep and Tyler would rub her back, sing to her, bundle her up and dance with her.....it's honestly the most precious thing I've ever witnessed. This is a man after his daughter's heart.
