I can't even being to describe how FUN life is with our sweet girl. She is our alarm clock in the morning and I don't think there is any other way I would rather wake up. This is how our morning goes: baby wakes up between 6:30-7:30 (she goes to bed at night at 6pm and still has one or two feedings through out the night.) Hubs goes upstairs and gets her and brings her down for a fresh diaper and then he brings her to the bed with us. We lay in the bed and I nurse then we tickle baby, play peek-a-boo, snuggle and try to wake up. H is all smiles in the morning... she is proof of God's promise of joy coming in the morning. I usually go into our master bathroom and get ready for the day while T and H sit on the ground and she plays with a tub of bracelets and books...for some reason she loves playing the our bathroom! Whatever works! It gives me time to put my contacts in, brush my teeth, and throw my hair in a ponytail! We usually head into the kitchen and all eat breakfast together and then head upstairs to the playroom and play for an hour or so. Our early morning is over when baby goes down for her morning nap.
Her sweet personality is really shining lately. She is very delicate, sweet, girly, nosey or curious, observant, and snuggly. She loves to read books, kiss her stuffed animals, listen to music, have starring contests, push her walkers, and look at the fan/lights/chandeliers!!
One of Hattie's favorite characters is the Black Sheep! She always turns to this page and kisses it! So sweet!Just sitting with her buddy .... reading some books!
We went to a gender reveal party for some of our friends... it's a BOY! I must say that I am a little too excited for this baby to get here....I am dying to hold a little squishy baby.
Our little snuggy bear was so content just sitting and playing...well, she finally decided to take off! We love chasing her around the house!
One day we met up for brunch with T's high school friend who also has a little girl just 3 days older than H. I wish they lived closer so the kiddos got to play more! Can I just add that we went to this place two days in a row to eat. Yep...that's us.
I'm telling you...this girl loves her books. She will pet pages and shriek when we point to certain animals... I just love this picture of these two. They have such a special bond.
We had a practice session before our actual cake smash shoot! I gave little one some angel food cake and whipped cream. She had a few bites but that was it....
Then we had the real deal! I'm still waiting on our photographer to send us the pictures! Dying!
For Valentine's Day I had baby girl finger paint daddy a canvas with the word LOVE. It turned our precious...of course Tyler loved it and immediately hung it in his office! Oh, kudos to T...he went out to return some clothes that didn't fit and came home with this sweet dress...all. by. himself. I think it is just the sweetest!
Our Valentine's Day was 100% perfect.
The weather has been beautiful so we've met up with several friends for park playdates. They usually start out on the swings ....and end up with me nursing a crying baby in the backseat of our suv! Hey, that's our life and I'll take it!
And if anyone knows where my little squishy baby went,.....please send her back!!!! I have loved every single stage that we have gone through....but I dearly miss my itty bitty.
How can this life not be everything I've ever dreamed of.... I'm thankful for the fussy days, easy going days, and everything in between.
It's just the three of us and we are savoring every minute together before we have a TODDLER on our hands!!!
