Props to The Mr. for painting and installing the ceiling fan!! He is so great at starting and finishing projects!!
Next topic- Easter decorations! I love putting some type of decorations up in our home to get the "feeling" of whatever holiday is approaching. Now, the true reason for Easter in our house is not to celebrate bunnies and colored eggs......but I just loooove the silly cutesy stuff! I would have to say that my Easter decoration tub is probably the smallest out of all the holiday tubs. I have seen so many great spring DIY craft ideas this year on other blogs...so hopefully I will make the weekly stop to Hobby Lobby and try to make a few. I've had my Easter/Spring decorations up for a week or so.... this is what we're working with...
The entry hallway table
I think this bunny is too cute! I think he's perfect hanging out in the kitchen. I snagged the little Easter towels on the oven for $1.00!
Spring birdies and a little blue bunny on the dining room table! (Pretty sure I couldn't fit another object on the top of this table.....I should actually go in there and take some of that off right now!!!)
First off- we are not fans of the dirty ole brick. A brand new fireplace is on our dream wish list......too bad we have a reality wish list and the dream wish list is just full of "one day I want to.....". I love having a fireplace mantel though. They make a great decorating space.
Warning: We love kitties.
The Mr. and I just love furry babies. We would love to have a dog but in this chapter of our life we love to travel. Our kitties are so flexible and easy. Our kitties give us so much love and they crack us up daily! Ollie is our newest baby. He is 17 weeks old. (Yes, he is large. He is a Maine Coon and we are prepared for him to be 20lbs.....crazy...20lbs!) We also have a crinkly ole Chewy girl...and we weren't sure they would "mesh". We were having movie night on Friday and captured these sweet moments!
Finally, our little babies aren't battling! They might actually...dare I say it.......like each other!!! We love our little family.
I love your Easter decorations! I always love to admire holiday decorations but I'm the very worst about putting them out in my own house.
ReplyDeleteAbout the dirty fireplace, have you considered painting the brick? I'll have to search for the links but I've read a few blogs where people have actually painted the fireplace brick antique white and then re-stained their mantels. HUGE difference.
Ok, me again...found the link: http://paperdolldesignsblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/spring-makeovers.html
ReplyDeleteJust a thought!
The room is coming along great!! We can't wait to stay in the "Hull suite"....Love reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog page! Painting the fireplace would change the room....great idea!
ReplyDeleteVal- the room is ready for check-in!!!
