Not to brag or anything.... well, maybe to brag a little... Our sweet pea has all straight A's on her 3rd report card from the pediatrician. She checked her muscle strength, eye coordination, reflexes, and growth. Isn't terrible that we rewarded her with 2 shots in her thighs. We promised her that once she starts eating big people food we would always take her for an after-the-doctor-treat to heal those huge tears. This time I needed to treat myself to something since I left the office with the most tears.
Stats- 2months
9lbs. 11ounces 21inches She is in the 12th percentile.
She is an amazing eater...or guzzler. Usually starts the night with a 5 hours stretch followed by a few 2-3 hour combos. (Except last night she slept for 6 hours straight!!! Let's hope this sticks!) The 2 month shots seemed to rock our routine a bit but we are getting back on track. When I say rock our routine...Little one was refusing to take a bottle from The Mr. at night which was making it really exhausting on sweet ole momma. Plus, I am going back to work (for one whole day) this school year and she will HAVE to take a bottle while I'm away all day. But again, last night she was an angel and took the bottle right away from her daddy and went back to sleep for 3 more hours! 9:30pm-7:30am with one wake up is quite awesome for us!!!
Just a little side note...if only it was that easy to plan your pregnancy...but if any of you are teachers (really fertile teachers) and are blessed enough to plan when you get pregnant.... shoot for the Fourth of July. Which will give you about 12 weeks at the end of the year...which run right into summer! Genius! Another piece of proof that the Lords timing is so much better than our timing. Trust. Like I said, my maternity leave goes until the last day of school...but I have decided to cut my 12 weeks maternity leave short by one day and work the Last Day of School! I gotta say goodbye to the sweet class that watched "baby snowflake" grow in my tummy and met her when she got here. (They named her Pumpkin during Fall and Snowflake during Winter. Presh.)
For Mother's Day we went to one of our favorite little brunch spots. Just the 3 of us. It was actually the restaurant we went to right after I told my hubs that we would no longer be a party of 2. On MD we were that weirdo family that matches..yep, all wearing blue. Hattie Paige had on her Owl Smock....to die for. I also woke up to new Coco Chanel perfume and a gift card for me and a friend to get a momma's day off for pampering! But girls..the greatest gift happened around 1:00pm. My amazing hubby took the baby and let me have an uninterrupted middle of the day nap.....ahhhh.
Becoming a mom (I still can't believe I am a momma) gives me goosebumps. It's crazy to know that you are responsible for this little important person. She runs through my brain all day and all night. I try to replan how I want our life path to go, how will I be able to show her how much the Lord cherishes her, will I be able to be a worthy role model for her, how will I comfort her when she fails or gets hurt, and the one question that never settles is how do some mothers stop being parents and don't support their children? I know the love I have for her is overwhelming at times...I can't imagine her getting older and not adoring her like I do now. I also want her to see a healthy loving relationship between my husband and I. I know he treasures me and I pray she finds a man just like him. (when she is in her late 30's hehhe)
Wow... I guess I had a lot to say! Here's some other updates so I don't forget-
Hatilynn "coo's" and "chats" with us all the time. She also loves talking to her "friend" in the mirror on her play mat. I love her sweet little voice. She has also started drooling a little bit...not much but enough. Her favorite thing in the world at the moment is stretching and yawning. She will arch her back and curl her fists and yawn like she had the greatest nap of her life. Then...she'll do it again and again. We laugh so hard because sometimes she won't eat until she has all of her stretches out! She sticks her tongue out. She has cried in the car the past few days..maybe not a car seat fan anymore. She loves her bath time. I think she is becoming more aware of her hands. Every single day she amazes us. Just so precious. Here's a few more picts....

I need to meet baby H! Brynley does too :) Shes just precious....And I remember when Brynley was round 1-3 months she hated to car seat!! But she's grown out of that and now she falls fast asleep as soon as we start the car.
