Can you say sugar?

I have to admit....The Mr. and I have some serious "eyes are bigger than our tummies" syndrome.  Keep in mind when you see the pictures that it was just the two of us.....not a party of six.
We woke up on Saturday morning wanting donuts.  (We saw a commercial for those sugary circles of yum the night before and couldn't stop talking about them.)  We never buy donuts...thank goodness....  since we have an issue with self control obviously.  We decided to go to our neighborhood pond, sit under a tree, and enjoy our morning while we munch.  Several kids were fishing with their families and the ducks were getting fed plenty of bread.
Looks amazing huh?!  Well....here's our sick little secret.
We just couldn't decided which delicious goodness to buy.   So, we did what any rational person would do...buy it all.  I would be more than proud to say we only ate a few bits but it isn't true.  We only had a few bites left...and we fed those to the ducks.  So,  if you see any jittery quackers waddling around...you know we got to them.   Shame on us.
Enough of that....let's chat about more food.
On Friday, my MIL invited us over for burgers and a few card games.  These burgers were so juicy.  It was a perfect grill'n night.  We piled up our plates, went out to the patio, and attacked our plates.  Just focus in on those bugers.   I love having cook-out food.  Period.
We had such a fun evening!  We celebrated Mother's Day with both our momma's Sunday.  We started it off with an amazing message at church.  Does anyone else's tummy growl during prayer?
Then we chowed down on some mexican food.  We enjoyed our lunch with lots of stories and laughs.
I have to leave you with these tough love photos.  It starts out sweet and ends up a hissing mess.
Poor Chewy...so is so over powered by our baby Ollie.

  2. YUM! The Country Club that the family I nanny for belongs to isn't far from a Krispy Kreme..occasionally I'll take the kids after swim team practice as a treat. I often tell myself I'm not going to get a donut, but ALWAYS ending up leaving with one or two!
